Mystic Realms of Divine Romance – Realm of Divine Devotion

Song of Solomon 4:1-2 TPT

What devotion I see each time I gaze upon you. You are like a sacrifice ready to be offered. 2When I look at you, I see how you have taken my fruit and tasted my word. Your life has become clean and pure, like a lamb washed and newly shorn. You now show grace and balance with truth on display.

Living from the inner chamber of His heart, pouring with new wine, He drenches me with thoughts so captivating, words that mesmerise and affection that completely intoxicates. I do not want to leave this place. Once my heart has captured His beauty, He has bewildered me with His love, a crimson flow of the sweetest oil drenching my soul with His very being. The thoughts He has towards me I cannot comprehend.

Meditating on the above scripture, I gazed into own my life, where I was, where I am now. How far I’ve come and the amazing things the Lover of my soul has done in and through me. There were some really hard times… in fact, just terrible, and some of it my doing. Yet with all the difficulties, He took every opportunity to fashion me into beautiful, purity and devotion. I am loved. When I journaled this scripture, Jesus took me to an exceptional place, the Realm of Devotion… the place I occupy in His heart before creation. 

A piece from my journal:

‘Let Me show you the inside of my heart, Scharl. I tiled the walls of my heart with mirrors and placed you at the centre. I love you so much that I want My heart in constant reflection of your beauty. My eyes light up every time a mirror reflects something of you in Me. My heart radiates with the love we share. Each mirror projects a memory we shared, not just on earth but the realm you occupied with Me before time. Before I breathed you into your body, we shared many walks in the garden. We would sift through the stones at the river Pishon, throwing them on the water, counting the skips. Just FYI, I know the angels helped you with those skips… LOL. We would bash into the water, dunking each other. I loved the laughter as the Spirit of Joy crashed our party and joined the fun. With such spontaneity, you were so free and expressive. I love that about you. I see all of Myself in you. Continue to live from the place what I believe of you. It’s the realm of authenticity, genuine expression. I want you to know that I am so proud of you. (I paused here… as tears just started rolling down my face…) I love how My Word has shaped you, how my wine has drenched you, how you overflow with the oil of My name. My shadow has covered you as My image reflects onto you and you onto Me. You invigorate Me. You… Scharl… arrested My heart.’

Have you ever journaled what you and Jesus did before creation? It’s not farfetched. Scripture is pretty clear:

Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

The Hebrew for ‘knew’ דעה, is derived from the Hebrew for ‘knowledge’ and expresses the verb… to know experientially.

When Jesus says He knew you, it is a knowing from time spent with each other… not because of a plan. Now there is a rabbit hole for you to dive in and allow Him to take you on a journey in your time of devotion with Him before creation. 

I realised that when He gazes upon me; He remembers את, the beginning and end, and what I am in those two realms. He joins them together and sees the one new man I am in Him, and that remains His focus, the perfect He sees in me. No judgement, no condemnation. When He examines you, He highlights that which reflects His glory. He constantly peers through the portal fixed on you. Religion focuses on what we still have to or haven’t achieved, whereas Jesus draws out what His blood achieved. When I’m in the inner chamber, the words He speaks and the love He lavishes on me … undone… doesn’t even begin to explain how I melt in the presence of beauty itself…

As a New Creation being, you become the tenderness, affection, the beauty and devotion of Yeshua. I cannot even comprehend that the creator of all, the Lover of my soul, has made me the object of His affection. To think of yourself the way He thinks of you opens the gates of your heart to receive the inexplicable joy of His divine love and affection. What a beautiful and comforting thought that through all of this I can say, ‘I am loved, I am my Beloveds, and He is mine.’

Psalm 27:4

“Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.”

Prayer Activation

Lover of my soul, I am undone. I lack the capacity to even fathom this wonderful love and thoughts you express towards me. Thank you for creating in me divine devotion, a relentless pursuit of new wine love. That you made me pure, a home where grace and balance can display the truth. I continue to chase hard after you…
