Mystic realms of divine romance – His Private Paradise

Song of Solomon 4:11–12 NIV

11 Your lips drop sweetness as the honeycomb, my bride; milk and honey are under your tongue. The fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon. 12 You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride; you are a spring enclosed, a sealed fountain.

The Passion Translation

11Your loving words are like the honeycomb to me; your tongue releases milk and honey, for I find the Promised Land flowing within you. The fragrance of your worshiping love surrounds you with scented robes of white. 12My darling bride, my private paradise, fastened to my heart. A secret spring are you that no one else can have — my bubbling fountain hidden from public view. What a perfect partner to me now that I have you.

You will have noticed by now the word ‘bride’ is nearly found on every page in Song of Songs. Reading today’s scripture, it just vibrated with colour and frequency… needless to say… that’s where we are going today. I remember listening to someone teach (can’t remember the person’s name) and mentioned that woman have to deal with the fact being called sons of God, when men have to deal with the idea being called the bride of Christ. LOL.

Being called the bride (male or female), is truly a mystical realm of divine romance. It is the place of complete vulnerability, trust, and intimacy. It is the most intoxicating divine chamber of expression and the ECHAD – Oneness.

The Hebrew for bride: כַּלָּה

 bride, i.e., a woman in the very initial stage of marriage to a man, or possibly just prior to marriage

The numerical value for כַּלָּה = 55 = 10

10 is perfection.

V12 describes a bride perfectly… My private paradise fastened to my heart. Don’t you just love how possessive Jesus is over you? ‘You are a spring that no one else can have, my bubbling fountain hidden from public view.’ Such intimate realms in the divine chamber. 

When you think of the word ‘bride’, you consider covenant, oneness, affection, sharing, and many other words that describe a marriage. But when the lover of your soul is betrothed to you, He has infused everything of Himself into the fabric of your being. In the oneness, the bride has taken and entangled the very DNA of her lover that the bride is the complete representation and extension of HIM. To be called His private paradise is to be the place He constantly wants to be found… His happy place. The realm of over flowing wine where bride and bridegroom intoxicate each other with their love. That the paradise is fastened to His heart is where all His affection is directed. All His divine energy is focussed and poured into the garden of your heart. The bride is a bubbling fountain, completely satisfied with His presence, filled with affection and love divine. 

The journey through the mystic realms of divine romance is a humbling process. how is it possible that a God who is indescribable, unfathomable, who is limitless and needs nothing… yet expresses His need for divine union with me? I can think of all the reasons He shouldn’t, YET HE THINKS OF ALL THE REASONS HE SHOULD. As the bride, you are positioned within that sweet spot of His heart. Being IN Him, we become the fountain of the source. The fountain of His love, the brook where others will drink. Being the bride, we, by divine contract (through His divine will), have access to all He is. When we are the bubbling fountain, we burst with intimacy and affection. The expression of His intoxicating love is so tangible upon us we are a walking eruption of His goodness. A fountain has water as long as it’s connected to the source. The bride is never disconnected. Through the oneness they share, the one has become the other… let me say that again; the one has become the other. There’s a mystery in the oneness. It’s not only us who have taken on Him, but He has taken on us.

Scharl, your smile makes My heart skip a beat… whenever I’m with you, I feel complete…

Wait, what?… it’s supposed to be the other way around. LOL.

Those might be tough words for some to accept, but Jesus wasn’t telling me He needs me to be complete, however our divine entanglement expresses the completeness we have in each other. For Him to say that He needs me, that’s relationship on a next level. Suddenly my insecurities surface… wait Jesus, surely someone else can fill that position way better than I. But He said NO… YOU ARE THE ONE.

As a New Creation being… you are the perfect bride… YOU ARE THE ONE. Do you believe it?

Activation prayer

Jesus… what do I say to words that demand a reaction I’m not worthy of, yet I’m the one for You. My heart is tender towards you. I have no words how I feel… maybe just ever so slightly overwhelmed. But I’m so glad you call me yours. I am your private paradise… your secret garden. Escape with me, and let’s never return.
