What is the Hornet?
In the intro video I mentioned Exodus 20, it’s actually Exodus 23 LOL
Most commentaries refer to the Hornets as insects, but if you study the context of Exodus 23, you will notice that the passage is about the Angel that God sends ahead of you. The Hornet isn’t an insect for goodness’ sake. Why would God send insects when He has an Angelic host to do his bidding.
The Hornets are the Angelic realm that ignites breakthrough and new pathways. They are pioneering Angels, and not a realm to mess with.
Exodus 23:28 NIV I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.
When you observe the scripture in the Hebrew, you will notice the aleph tav (את) appears just before the Hornet. So Aleph Tav serves as an object marker, its spiritual implication is that it signifies the presence of divinity. As Jesus is the Aleph Tav (the beginning and the end), there definitely appears to be a divine hand with regard to the Hornets. When you observe the Hebrew meaning for the Hornet, is not focused on the insect, but its primary meaning is confusion, fear and panic, pestilence or plague. That’s furious.
What is the purpose of the Hornet Angel
To clear pathways
Exodus 23:27 NIV“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
To possess the land
Exodus 23:23 NIV My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.
Deuteronomy 7:20 NIVMoreover, the Lord your God will send the hornet among them until even the survivors who hide from you have perished.
It is interesting to note the context of the scripture. It was about possessing the land as well as the deliverance of the Israelites from the hand of the pharaoh. Could it be that the Hornet angels had a huge part to play in the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt into the Promised Land.
Exodus 23:20 NIV “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
They are different from your Guardian Angel. Your angel is your everyday Angel, but the Hornet Angel serves as a being that guards you regarding a specific mission or purpose. The Guardian Angel surrounds you, whereas the Hornet angel, goes ahead of you. That task that’s been assigned to, you can activate them to guide you along the way, so that the mission or purpose you have been given can be fulfilled. They are mandate driven
They line up to God’s timing
The Hornet Angels work in line with your maturity
Exodus 23:29–30 NIV But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.
This is a noteworthy scripture. It is clear the Hornet angels will work parallel with the maturity of the sons of God. They will only clean out and expand the Territory that you are capable of handling. I realise the Hornet Angels working hand-in-hand with the Spirit of Wisdom and Might.
Not by might nor power, but by the Spirit
Joshua 24:12–13 NIV I sent the hornet ahead of you, which drove them out before you—also the two Amorite kings. You did not do it with your own sword and bow. So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.
’Three points stand out for me with the scripture. The Hornet Angels didn’t solely clear out the land, but they displaced the Kings, so in other words they dethroned them. They cleared out the place of government so that we as sons of God can take the position in the land. You won’t be able to take glory for this conquest, as you operate from a realm of rest. The glory goes to the Father. The Hornet Angels create the opportunity to enjoy the spoils of the land, the wealth of the wicked being laid up for the righteous.
