Welcome to our next blog. For those new to the blog and groups,  we focus on the Hebrew aspect of the scriptures. Knowledge of the Hebrew language is not a requirement to be part of this journey, however, it will inspire you to know more. If you are new to the Hebrew Letters, below is a link to the last blog on the Living Letters. Within that blog are the links to all the letters. (LINK)

Mystic realms of the Hebrew word: דבא DoVe ‘Power/Rest’

Welcome to our next blog focusing on the Hebrew word ‘DoVe’ (pronounced DouVey) which means POWER.

Power takes on many forms expressed in many ways. It can be of great benefit, but can also cause significant destruction. We are all familiar with the phrase from Spider-Man ‘With great power comes great responsibility’. There are many truths in that statement, however, the way the world views power as opposed to our approach is vastly different, that’s why this Hebrew word stood out for me.

Not only does דבא mean power, it has two other meanings, ‘rest’ and ‘strength’.

Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament) 1801 דֹּבֶא

         1.       strength, power, i.e., be able or capable for tasks or events of life

         2.       rest, i.e., a state of peaceful existence, as a favorable state

         3.       healthy life, formally, as your days, your strength, i.e., all one’s life he will have strength as a youth would.

It would seem like that this Hebrew word is not widely used and I could only find one scripture where it appears, which also increased its mystery, and it is in:

Deuteronomy 33:25 NIV

The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days.

The scripture context was during the time Moses was to die, and he proclaimed a blessing over the tribes of Israel before his departure. This scripture was the blessing spoken over the tribe of Asher. To get greater context regarding this Hebrew word, it is prudent to look at the whole blessing spoken over the tribe.

When you study the meaning of DoVe דבא, it is a 3 fold cord of POWER, REST and WELL BEING.

When we read the following blessing:

Deuteronomy 33:28 NIV

So Israel will live in safety; Jacob will dwell secure in a land of grain and new wine, where the heavens drop dew.

WOW…you got to read that scripture again. דבא is a Hebrew word that unfolds new creation living from heavenly realms. Genuine power lies in the realm where we operate from rest. From that position we get to experience the security and blessing of our allotted domain. It means the source of our security and blessing is from the heavenly realms, living from above, manifesting below. The phrase ‘where the heavens drop dew’ means that we are positioned in a domain of constant abundance and blessing. No outside circumstance can change where you are positioned spiritually. Our power and strength is clearly not because of our physical prowess but our spiritual alignment.

I so get Ps 91:7

‘A Thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.’

What דבא is saying is that your strength is not about your ability, but your position. Positioned from this realm is to experience from Mount Zion the deliverance of Yahweh, a peace completely beyond the natural. The power lies in the resting, feeding of the realm of complete bliss and ecstasy within His presence. He enraptured you in His love and showered you with an abundance of heaven’s dew. Are you getting what I’m saying here? If your focus remains on the lack and issues, what you lean into will become your reality, and what becomes your reality will eventually become your source, a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Deuteronomy 33:29 NIV

Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights.”

DoVe דבא is like a dome over our land, a greenhouse nurturing the grain and the new wine, bringing forth abundance to the sons of God. It forms an arcing over your inheritance and facilitates a maturing process.

As I engaged with דבא, the angel showed me the reason for the outlay. Aleph, who contains the power and strength, could not be in the beginning of this word as what it contained was too severe on its own. Dalet ד, at the beginning, was chosen to be the entrance of דבא because it’s from within Yeshua that our freedom in strength and power beckons.

John 10:9

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

Power and strength are released through the gate of peace and rest. It is through rest that power finds its genuine expression. That strength flows from relationship instead of title, a sense of being instead of duty. With ב fixed within the centre, it expresses Ezekiel’s temple vision. The river flowing from the east ד, through to the west א, rises within the temple ב, which is you, of course, to express the abundance and bliss found in the pasture of His presence. דבא creates the atmosphere of rest as opposed to performance, sonship instead of servanthood, acceptance instead of strife, love instead of condemnation. The greenhouse it creates is void of religion, a system that bounds in the chains of religious duty judged by performance. The pasture within דבא echoes with the rhythm of the cross, assuring those who dwell within its meadows that ‘it is done’ and complete.

Galatians 2:20 NIV

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Abiding in Yeshua is a place where time and age bear no relevance to the sons of God. You might wonder how is that possible…read Deuteronomy 35:22 again… ‘your strength shall equal your days’. Wait, what…is that the fountain of youth? To step into דבא is the dome where time, space and matter fold into you, so you can govern as apposed to time controlling you. That means…technically…as we mature (not grow older 😂), we INCREASE in strength cause time follows the regenerating effect of the cross and not the degenerating effect of sin, which is a curse. This is the realm we operate from, a supernatural dimension you activate and flesh out its consciousness within your spirit man. This is what דבא is all about, INCREASE. Increase in peace activates the increase in power. Power operating from peace results in increased strength which resonates the cross and not the effect of time.
