Welcome to our next blog. For those new to the blog and groups, we focus on the Hebrew aspect of the scriptures. Knowledge of the Hebrew language is not a requirement to be part of this journey, however, it will inspire you to know more. If you are new to the Hebrew Letters, below is a link to the last blog on the Living Letters. Within that blog are the links to all the letters. (LINK)
Mystic realms of the Hebrew word: Ya-av יאב Desire
Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament) 3277 יָאַב
3277 יָאַב (yā·ʾǎḇ)
long for, desire, i.e., have an intense desire, implying anticipation
Desire is a word weighted with intensity. It is filled with a purpose that desires outcome. I love the word craving that ties into desire. How often have you not craved something specific like coffee, a chocolate or a fresh juicy piece of broccoli… wait… someone hacked the blog cause that ain’t me?
When there’s a shortage of something within your body, it will stir up a craving or desire for what it needs, so you turn that crave into action. Desire is birthed from hunger and need.
The specific scripture associated with desire יאב is:
Psalm 119:131 NIV
I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.
Longing = יאב Ya-av
Don’t you find it strange how David specifically said ‘I open my mouth’? Surely that automatically happens when you pant, right? Maybe the opening of the mouth had a different purpose than panting.
Psalm 81:10 NIV
I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
We are breath to breath beings as the name of Yahweh יהוה implies… יה – breath of God… וה – breath of man. When Moses spoke to Yahweh, it was a breath unto breath encounter. A union and expression of oneness fused into the DNA makeup of Moses. To open your mouth is a mystical action of pursuit… the more I pursue, the wider my mouth. Pursue Me and I will fill you.
Psalm 63:8 NIV
I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
the KJV says it this way
Psalm 63:8 KJV 1900
My soul followeth hard after thee: Thy right hand upholdeth me.
The Hebrew also explains ‘follow’ as ‘to overtake’. When we desire more of Him, it’s not about more of the spirit. He does not live half measure in you. It is the intense desire to see and experience the unfolding of our union and oneness, the ecstasy of His presence in us. The more we unlock and drink, the more our spirit desires its original intent. As we chase into Jesus, we rush into the mirror image of who we are in Him. In that moment, the revelation of Christ in me overtakes you, the hope of glory. This is the most profound mystery the apostle Paul pursued. It was an addiction. The deeper he chased the mystery, the rapturous delight of intimacy overwhelmed him. In that moment the mirror image of him in Jesus, ignited and captured his soul no prison or chain could keep him away. The intense hunger and desire ignited a breath into breath action that released intimacy so intoxicating paralysing your whole being, a surrender, giving into the breath… and then the overtaking… loosing control… you pant for more.
Ya-av יאב is the realm where Jesus reveals our completeness IN HIM. It is the mirror image capturing our gaze when revealed, all we see is Him.
Psalm 42:1 NIV
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.
The mystery about יאב is our spirit, soul and body crave New Creation Living. The more it tastes, the more it wants. יאב is the magnet drawing our new creation purpose into our new creation bodies.
2 Corinthians 5:2 NIV
Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,
Abraham looked for a city whose builder was God… a desire for new creation living. The breath in him yearning for its origin.
Hebrew letters are divinely positioned, and Ya-av starts with י (YUD), which is the start of everything, means ‘deep will continue to call unto deep’. It is the frequency that seeks its soul mate in you, a song waiting to be written.
Psalm 27:4 NIV
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I ask: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
The temple within David yearns to express its purpose. It attracts what it mirrors, and the temple had a divine purpose… the manifest presence of Yahweh. The chambers within you, as the temple, echo the voice and frequency of its creator. As you open your mouth, speaking and expressing intent and desire, you release your scroll and purpose from the breath. The technology of manifesting this desire is locked up in your voice. As you speak your desire, the frequency and intent carried in the breath unlocks and creates that for which its sent. יאב is the seed of His image, the gaze into perfect intent.
