“Imagination is the artistry of our thought life.  It is the ability to connect with the imagery of God’s Dreams for us, to frame the structure in our minds for release in the physical as co-creators with Christ. “

It is a travesty of mankind that we have relegated our imagination to childhood fantasies.  Yet our imagination is the Bridge and Gateway to engage the supernatural realm.

Consider the scripture below:

Psalm 103:14 NIV. for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

The Hebrew word for ‘formed’

Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament) 3671 I. יֵצֶר

יֵצֶר (yē·ṣěr): n.masc.; ≡ Str 3336 creation, i.e., a thing someone fashions or forms, a thought, inclination, i.e., the content of thinking and reasoning, motivation, desire, i.e., what one wants or wishes for (1Ch 28:9; 29:18+)

Genesis 11:5–6 KJV 1900. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Did you see that, nothing will be impossible for them because they imagined it. There you have it, if you can imagine it, you can do it.

If we want to tap into the vast potential of what is in us,  understanding the power of our imagination and how to harness it, is of utmost importance.  This isn’t child or fantasy play,  this is the core of co-creating with Christ in heavenly places.

Your imagination is what you see with your mind that your eyes will experience the reality of later. If the imagination is so important, then governing the gates of your mind becomes increasingly vital.

Romans 12:2 NIV. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Do we realise what this scripture is saying? if we feed our mind with the right stuff, the heavenly downloads, we will unlock our imagination and our spiritual seeing will be aligned with Gods vision and creativity. What He sees you will imagine, what you imagine He sees…that’s co-creating.

Proverbs 29:18 NKJV. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament) 2606 חָזוֹן

חָזוֹן (ḥā·zôn): n.masc.; ≡ Str 2377 revelation, i.e., a communication from God to be communicated to others, with a focus on the visual aspects of the communication

a revelation, which is a vision planted in your imagination, (cause your imagination puts the vision together), is a mystical experience of a supernatural appearance.

Our imagination with revelation keeps us focused on YHVH’s plans and the movements within the spirit realm

Colossians 3:2 NIV Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Deuteronomy 4:29 NIV But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Your imagination is a gps

Proverbs 23:7 KJV 1900

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; But his heart is not with thee.

Like it or not, but our current life is a product of our imagination.  I’m not talking about wishful thinking,  but as you perceive yourself so you are.  We might know what God wants for us,  but if we can’t create it with our imagination,  so in other words line-up our thought life with what God believes of us,  we will struggle to realise the reality of it. If you have a victim mentality,  it is a creation of your thought life,  so someone will always be trying to hijack your purpose,  your promotion,  and destiny. Don’t allow experiences to manipulate your imaginations,  reframe your thought life to God’s plan for you.  Re adjust the way you imagine to God’s plan, instead of your past and current experiences. If you allow your imagination to filter your unpleasant experiences,  you will limit the way you engage in the spirit realm and what God can do within your life. Relocate yourself mentally,  see yourself the way God sees you and start to imagine that,  play it out on a daily basis.

Hebrews 11:3 NIV By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Our imagination is the precursor to our reality

If we align our thoughts and imaginations with God’s thoughts and imaginations we start to align ourselves with prophetic revelation

From God or not?

Jeremiah 23:16 NIV This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.

Hebrews 4:12 NIV For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Our imagination was created for Godly purposes, yes they can be used for evil, we see it all around. But with Jesus as the Gate, the Word as our compass, we can engage with boldness knowing we have a Father who guides us as we grow and mature.

Recalibrate your imagination

1 John 4:17 NKJV Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

You are one spirit with Jesus, as He is so are you, no exceptions when it comes to your imagination

John 14:12 NIV Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

What and where you can go with your imagination is endless, and the enemy knows that. He is well aware that if you unlock and harness the power of your imagination, you start to tap into your creative abilities in Christ and you will experience the supernatural realm in unlimited ways.

Hebrews 4:12 NIV For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Allow the Word to expand your imagination, there is enough imagery  to kickstart your imagination.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 NIV May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Steps to activate

1. Behold

Revelation 1:7 NIV

“Behold, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.

The International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia, Volumes 1–5

Beholding

The word epóptēs denotes one who had been initiated into the innermost secrets of his faith and who enjoyed the highest religious privileges; but now in contradiction to the secrecy of all pagan “mysteries” (Eleusinian, etc) the apostles would share with all the faithful every spiritual vision which they enjoyed (“we made known unto you”).

WOW WOW WOW WOW

2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Imagination has a transformation process, allow its creative process

What you behold you will eventually become, what you see you will eventually engage

2. Affections

Colossians 3:2 NIV Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

redirect and set your thoughts on that which will expand your supernatural experiences. Read about the throne room, allow its imagery stirr your affections

3. Creative

Start to dream with God. Our creative nature, when used with our imagination, actually has the power to transform our lives and bring the reality of God’s will into our present circumstances. Start to write down what you imagine and dream.

4. Seek

Deuteronomy 4:29 NIV But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Pursue and be persistant

5. Gateways

eyes, ears, heart, mind

Ephesians 1:17–18 NIV I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Colossians 3:2 NIV Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Imitate God, cause you are Him here on earth

3 John 11 NIV Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God

The most important part of becoming an effective Kingdom son and daughter is to constantly submitting our mindsets to the spirit of truth, and being open to the language of the spirit.
