Mystery of Wisdom

Colossians 2:2-3 The Mirror Translation

“Everything that could possibly define our wealth is hidden in Christ. In this place of our union in Him the complete treasure of all wisdom and knowledge is sourced.”

Colossians 2:2-3 TPT

“I am contending for you that your hearts will be wrapped in the comfort of heaven and woven together into love’s fabric. This will give you access to all the riches of God as you experience the revelation of God’s great mystery—Christ. For our spiritual wealth is in him, like hidden treasure waiting to be discovered—heaven’s wisdom and endless riches of revelation knowledge.”

We are invited to enjoy a beautiful union with Jesus. As we embrace His blissful presence within us, it transformed us into a state of ecstasy, consumed by His new wine. New creation living involves living in the spirit and knowing Him as the very substance of our being. As we walk in the knowledge of this divine truth, being in Him before the foundation of the world, our lives become the unfolding mystery of intimacy with God and wisdom begins to pour out from the depths of His glory. This enriches our hearts with unfathomable wealth.

God is the unlimited source of divine wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve those ends by the most perfect means. It sees the end from the beginning. Wisdom sees everything in focus, each in proper relation to all, and is therefore able to work toward predestined goals with flawless precision. There are treasures of wisdom within Him, waiting to be searched out and discovered. It calls to us to be found, because it holds the record of original intent and blueprints of divine revelations. 

It is Wisdom that enables us to co-create and draw creative substance from the depths of God into our earthly reality, for Wisdom, in its essence, is creative. When we read the whole of Proverbs 8, we not only engage with the Spirit of Wisdom, but we gain an understanding of the mechanics of Wisdom. It invites us to walk in perfect harmony with both the created order and God’s redemptive work. As mentioned above, it is a key to achieve all predestined goals. It carries a scroll of our original intent and our eternal image.

Romans 16:25-27 TPT

“I give all my praises and glory to the one who has more than enough power to make you strong and keep you steadfast through the promises found in my gospel; that is, the proclamation of Jesus, the Anointed One. This wonderful news includes the unveiling of the mystery kept secret from the dawn of creation until now. This mystery is understood through the prophecies of the Scripture and by the decree of the eternal God. And it is now heard openly by all the nations, igniting within them a deep commitment of faith. Now to God, the only source of wisdom, be glorious praises for endless ages through Jesus, the Anointed One! Amen!”

Notice the last phrases of the book of Romans, Paul emphasises one attribute of God – His wisdom. Wisdom reflects His glory. God’s understanding is infinite and through Christ, we have boundless access to this treasure hidden in Him. As Christ is now, so are we. We exist and have our being because we have the source of everything established within our primordial being. It entangled us with Him and everything He is freely flows into our spirits, sustaining and enriching us. Nothing in the realm of eternity can override God’s decision to have us dwell in Him and Him in us. 

Ephesians 1:3 TPT

“Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts!”

I just love how the above scripture reveals God’s heart. He proclaims every blessing and gift we could ever hope for has already been lavished upon us. LAVISHED! To lavish means to bestow something in extravagant quantities on someone. It also means sumptuously rich, elaborate and luxurious. This is the mystery of Christ. All the Wisdom and treasures found in God are in Christ. Yahweh sees us wrapped in Jesus and therefore all that is His is ours. It’s something already given to us. All the riches entangled in Christ have been deposited into us. 

Our new creation reality is that we live centred in Him and His Wisdom radiates effortlessly from our lives. He truly is a well of abundant wealth. The ultimate mystery is when we intimately know Him as our source, our primordial being becomes entangled with Him and it gets saturated with His glory. All that He is, is established within us. When we understand the wisdom imparted into us, it enables us to co-create with Him, not intermittently, but continuously, because we have access to all that He is and all the wealth of His wisdom and knowledge is embedded within us.

Activation Prayer

Jesus, we are intoxicated by Your divine love. We engage with Your Spirit of Wisdom and Knowledge and we search out the treasures within You to know You more. Thank you for the extravagance You have gifted us with.
