If you are new to the Hebrew Letters, below is a link to the intro course on the Living Letters. When you look to the right of the blog you’ll see categories that you can browse. There’s no specific starting point, but i do suggest you work through the Hebrew Letters. The blog and the Wednesday group activation goes hand in hand.

Mystic Realms of Divine Romance – His Shadow

Song of Solomon 2:3 (NIV)

3 Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.

Passion Translation

3My beloved is to me the most fragrant apple tree — he stands above the sons of men.d Sitting under his grace-shadow, I blossom in his shade, enjoying the sweet taste of his pleasant, delicious fruit, resting with delight where his glory never fades.

Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament) 7498 צֵל

צֵל (ṣēl)

shadow, shade, i.e., the state of interposing something between an object and a light source, with the associative meanings of protection and refreshment, and transitoriness

The NIV version describes the verse: I DELIGHT to sit in His shade.

The Hebrew for ‘delight’ means to ‘covet or lust after’. To read that scripture literally, she said to him that ‘I lust after your shade and covet it’. Those are pretty strong words showing there was something to the ‘shade’ worth desiring. A shade is cast when something stands between an object and a light source… but what if that something IS the light source? How can the light source cast a shadow?

Shadow personifies protection and refreshment, but the shadow Yeshua casts goes way beyond that. It’s an aspect, but not the core. When the source of light casts a shadow over you, it is Him projecting His image and likeness on and over you. Look at the following Hebrew word….

Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew (Old Testament) צֶלֶם (ṣě·lěm) image, likeness, i.e., that which is a pattern, model, or example of something

The Hebrew word for ‘shadow’ serves as the root word for ‘image’.

Genesis 1:26 NIV

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

As the scripture describes in SOS 2:3, to sit and blossom under His shade is to allow His image to blanket over you so His light source may project from within you. How incredible! His shadow has nothing to do with preventing light, but to redirect the light so that it may project from your New Creation being. His shadow vibrates with the frequency and fragrance of not only His image, but your primordial being…. your original intent…. who and what you are in the breath. Do you notice the present tense? The shadow vibrates with the breath. In His shadow, breath is the glory of who and what you are in Him. You can liken the shadow with the Holy Spirit vibrating over creation. To cast a shadow is to release original intent and creation’s purpose. It’s the only way you can blossom in His shade. Why is the light so important? It’s your New Creation being living untethered to the physical world… living beyond human.

So let’s get back to that phrase ‘to lust after’… LOL… can you hear that religious spirit squeal….

You have to read that phrase from a realm of redemption. It speaks of an intense desire, to experience the most intense brooding of His Spirit over you to awaken new realms of Divine Romance. I want to be upfront with you… it’s hardcore… Jesus is revealing an intensity that’s going to break down your old framework and comfort zones. As His shadow vibrates on us, it awakens the love seeds within to blossom and come to fruition. When we blossom, we experience the reality of His image within us and the light, vibrating with colour and frequency, projects from our Kainos being.

As a New Creation being, the shadow activates the light within you, rekindling remembrance, aligning your spirit back to original intent, the body that received the breath at creation. As Kainos beings, we blossom in His shade, enjoying the love fruits of His presence as the Spirit broods over you, quickening an intimacy that’s breath unto breath, mouth unto mouth. The shade enables you to be multidimensional, shifting through realms and dimensions of His love kisses divine.

Prayer activation

Abba, I align my love gates with yours. I position myself within your shadow to radiate the light and love frequency of your image. As I blanket myself with your shadow, I call forth original intent within my body to project the light and frequency of who and what I am in the breath of Yahweh
